Editorial Policy

Loadout Ledger aims to publish useful, original, and transparent coverage for PC and console players. This policy explains how we research, test, credit, correct, and monetize our work.

Editorial independence

Editorial conclusions are based on our own testing, analysis, and judgment. Advertisers do not approve articles or determine ratings. If a publisher supplies a game key, event access, hardware, travel, sponsorship, affiliate link, or any other material benefit, the article will disclose it clearly near the beginning.

Testing and evidence

Hands-on guides identify the platform, game version, important settings, and the date tested when these details affect the result. We separate what we personally tested from what we learned through research. Performance claims include the relevant hardware or console mode where practical. We do not invent playtime, access, benchmarks, quotes, or user experiences.

News and release coverage

Release dates, patch changes, prices, compatibility, and technical requirements can change. We verify these details against current primary sources such as official developer or publisher announcements, support pages, patch notes, and platform stores. Rumors and leaks are labeled, attributed, and kept separate from confirmed information.

Reviews, criticism, and community opinion

Our reviews explain the tested version, platform, and review conditions. Opinion is identified as opinion. Community review roundups sample approximately 8–12 public reviews from at least two platforms when a useful spread is available. We select a mix of positive, mixed, and negative views, paraphrase them, link to the source platform or review, and add substantial original analysis. We do not copy review text, use review scores without context, or present a small sample as scientific polling.

Sources, quotations, and links

Facts that are not common knowledge are linked to the most direct reliable source available. Quotations are brief, necessary, and attributed. Links are included for reader verification, not exchanged for favorable coverage. We avoid scraped, spun, or mass-produced summaries.

Images and intellectual property

We use our own screenshots, assets supplied for press use under their stated terms, properly licensed material, or original AI-assisted illustrations. Captions credit the source and state when an image is AI-assisted. AI-assisted images may use broad gaming moods and original equipment or environments, but they do not copy a specific artwork, imitate a living artist, or reproduce protected characters, logos, box art, or game interfaces. Player safety and prohibited coverage

We do not distribute or promote cracks, unauthorized game keys, DRM bypasses, cheats, account theft, skin changers, counterfeit items, gambling services, or deceptive downloads. Security-sensitive guides prioritize official tools and clearly explain risks. We do not ask readers for passwords, authentication codes, or account credentials.

Updates and corrections

Material updates receive a visible note with the date and reason. Factual errors are corrected promptly under our Corrections Policy. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a note.
